Land Manager - Fife, United Kingdom - Contract Scotland
Description
Contract Scotland are working with a Fife-based housing contractor to source a Land Manager.You will be joining a business who have over 30 years of experience building quality homes in the private and affordable sector.
Working closely with internal stakeholders you will be primarily focussed on acquiring land to meet the company's targets for private and affordable housing.
Key Requirements of the Role
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with land agents, landowners and other stakeholders, in order to source land from a variety of means.
- Review of all land opportunities and carrying out initial assessments, to establish the sites that are the best option to pursue.
- Carrying out market research & appraising against criteria and agreed with internal stakeholders and sales team.
- Obtaining of existing site records relating to services, adoptable highways, drainage as well as the coordination of land registry / ownership enquiries.
- Preparation of appraisals for sites utilising COINS land appraisal software.
- Manage external consultants and the flow of information to agreed timescales. This will involve the coordination of both internal colleagues and external consultants.
- Attend Design Team meetings in conjunction with colleagues and external consultants.
- Liaising with Planning Department representatives through the planning process and managing the discharge of precommencement planning conditions.
You will need:
- Minimum of 2 years of land buying experience.
- The ability to demonstrate effective negotiating and influencing in order optimise successful results.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively liaise with both internal and external teams
- Report writing skills, computer literacy (MS Office) and an eye for detail.
- Full UK Driver's License
