    We are seeking a friendly and efficient Receptionist to establish excellent customer relations and act as the first point of contact representing Dogs Trust at our Rehoming Centre.

    The successful candidate will have experience of working in a customer-facing role, including both face-to-face contact with members of the public and on the telephone, providing excellent customer service in a busy and challenging environment.

    About this job:

    As Receptionist, you'll:

    • Greet all visitors who arrive at the centre, making them feel informed and welcomed.
    • Answer inbound phone calls promptly, politely and in accordance with Dogs Trust procedure and complete any required administrative tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Maintain the reception area, ensuring workstations are clean and tidy and it is appropriately stocked with all literature and that orders are placed when supplies are low.

    About you:

    You'll have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills with a good understanding of IT and office systems (such as filing and storing information). But above all, you'll be committed to the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust.

    Our rehoming centres house thousands of dogs each year until they are able to find a loving new home and the success of our centres wouldn't be possible without our dedicated team of staff and volunteers; there is a real family-community within each of our centres. Come rain or shine; our team are out in all weathers to make sure the dogs have the best possible life. Dealing with thousands of visitors each month, our rehoming centres are the face of Dogs Trust, and we pride ourselves on our staff providing the very best in customer service.

    What you need to know:

    A full, clean, manual driving licence is also required. Working times are Monday to Sunday on a rota basis, 8am-4:30pm (subject to change and will be discussed during interview).
