Are you passionate about providing excellent nursing care to older adults? If so we have a post available for permanent full time Band 6 Senior Community Registered Nurse at Alexander House working in our Community Mental Health Team.
You will develop and improve your skills and knowledge in the community and be an active member of our multidisciplinary team.
You will have a knowledge of severe and enduring mental health illness alongside the multitude of co-existing factors that affect the health and wellbeing of our patients, their carers and families.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with good communication skills and the willingness to learn and develop as well as share their knowledge, in this exciting field of mental health.
In return we offer you the opportunity to work with a highly skilled and experienced MDT providing support and supervision for you, excellent standards of care for our service users.
Please note that the standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8.30pm or 9am to 5pm, however flexible working can be considered.

Minimum of 12 months experience post completion of preceptorship experience working with people with mental ill health, Autism or Learning Disability in a care environment.
Quality improvement activitiesExperience of working with Older People with Mental Health conditions
Demonstrable knowledge to post-graduate level of evidence-based practice in caring for patients in the designated field including specialist knowledge of co-morbidity (physical and mental health) in relation to acute and chronic conditions.
Understanding of psychological models of care and treatment.
Clinical Risk Assessment and Management and its application in practice.
Working knowledge of clinical medicines management, including administration of injections
Provide effective clinical supervision, teaching, training and assessing in clinical practice.
