    Description
    Coatings Inspector

    Role Profile

    QC Inspectors are responsible for providing independent Quality Control and weld inspection services across a range of disciplines.

    You will be an experienced Inspector, fit and able to work at height and confined spaces.

    As an experienced Mechanical Inspector professional you will have a high level of written and verbal communication skills and be able to operate on sites with minimal supervision.

    Your role will involve working in a client facing environment on sites with differing working cultures. As such you will be demonstrating excellent customer service skills and the ability to problem solve.

    Experience


    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the inspection of Welded fabrications / manufactured equipment
    • Sound understanding and qualification where necessary in Materials and Welding
    Qualifications

    Coatings Inspectors shall have 2 years' experience with the following qualifications:


    • C&G Cert / or equivalent experience in Fabrication & Welding and/or HNC/BTec in appropriate engineering discipline.
    • NACE / BGAS / ICORR (Coatings)
    Main Duties and Responsibilities


    • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
    • Deliver independent inspection and quality control services at operating sites and vendors relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication and construction.
    • Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP's fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation and review of LTQR's.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

    • Have a good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection within the nuclear industry or transferable experience from another high hazard industry.
    • Be able to demonstrate a proactive, self-motivated approach to technical and non-technical work.
    • Have experience of managing a range of stakeholders and will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of influencing and negotiating, particularly in technical discussions relating to Inspection.
    • Have good technical writing and communication skills.
    • Good working knowledge of the Customers quality requirements
    • Good working knowledge and application of ISO 9001
