    Description

    As a Manager, you will have day to day responsibility for managing a portfolio of cases, from pre-appointment planning to completion of all "live" case matters. Supported by Associates/Senior Associates, you will attend to all aspects of your portfolio including strategy, asset realisations and statutory and technical matters. You will report directly to the Engagement Leaders.

    This is a client-facing role, in a lively, stimulating and busy environment – working to deadlines and requiring an ability to think practically and problem solve.

    The role can be based in our Glasgow or Edinburgh office albeit the nature of the work is likely to necessitate some multi-office and on-site working across Scotland therefore the individual will require to be flexible. A mixture of working from home and from Interpath offices/client sites is available.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Insolvency remits:

    • Accountable for a varied portfolio of corporate insolvency engagements (focussed on liquidations and administrations) from pre-appointment planning to completion of all "live" case matters – ensuring statutory requirements are met and case progression continuous.
    • Working with clients and colleagues to identify, ingather and safeguard assets – and, thereafter, setting and executing realisation strategies in order to maximise realisable value.
    • Monitoring WIP and fees for your portfolio, with regular reporting to leadership.
    • Adhering to risk procedures – from pre-appointment conflict checks through the lifespan of each engagement.
    • Undertake appropriate investigations to ascertain the reasons for insolvency and preparing the relevant reports.
    • Review output from Associates/Senior Associates including correspondence; reports; and, statutory forms and notices.
    • Coaching junior team members on the job.
    • Interacting closely with colleagues – including Engagement Leaders – together with third-party stakeholders (including directors, employees and creditors) and appointed agents.

    Business development:

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 4 years corporate insolvency experience
    • Currently working at Assistant Manager/Senior Associate level or above.
