Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP ("Curtis"), founded in New York in 1830, is an international law firm with a leading reputation in international corporate work. The London office of Curtis is looking to recruit a corporate associate, with 1 to 2 years of post-qualification experience. In keeping with the firm's culture, the selected candidate would be given considerable responsibility at an early stage and the opportunity to work on international transactions. The London office provides an open, friendly and collaborative work environment, with competitive remuneration.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate should have (among others):

An excellent academic record;

Trained and qualified in England & Wales at an internationally recognised US or top UK law firm, with 1 to 2 years of post-qualification experience;

Experience drafting, negotiating and reviewing a broad range of corporate and finance documentation (M&A documentation, joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements and financing documents);

Experience conducting legal due diligence on target companies;

Supporting partners and counsel in managing client relationships and ensuring excellent client service;

A driven, proactive and resourceful personality;

Excellent drafting skills;

Permission to work in the U.K.

Although not essential, experience of working on energy related transactions would be beneficial.
