Composite Supervisor

Cockwells is an internationally acclaimed player in the marine sector, renowned for crafting top-notch luxury motor launches and Superyacht tenders.

The company seamlessly blends traditional boatbuilding techniques with cutting-edge engineering and modern methods to produce vessels of exceptional quality.

Main Role Purpose and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to Pre-Production Manager on facility-related issues, health & safety, resource needs, and quality.
  • Ensuring the well-being and safety of staff, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
  • Identifying resource requirements to Pre-Production Manager.
  • Driving productivity and maintaining high standards.
  • Supervising team leaders and employees, serving as the main HR contact.
  • Adhering to manufacturing and facility budgets.
  • Training junior laminators and seeking process improvements.

Essential skills/experience

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent multitasking and communication abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of Laminating, Composites, and Boat building.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to embrace new challenges.

Desirable skills

  • Proficient in Rhino 3D, M1, Project.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety guidelines.

Location

The work sites are primarily in Falmouth and Mylor Bridge.

Salary

Competitive salary based on experience, typically £34,000-£40,000 per annum.
