    First Achieve Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Nuclear New Build Project Manager in Scotland. You will be working with a global Engineering company, who specialise in offering solutions to the UK nuclear sector.

    The salary on offer is up to £60,000 per annum, alongside many more benefits such as 8% contribution to pension and more.

    In this role, you will lead and provide dedicated management and support of the high level Nuclear project contracts. Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of project management best practices through leadership, management, good governance, planning, organisation, and motivation. Organising resources to achieve defined project goals and deliverables, including day-to-day management of the NNB Project Managers and their teams to achieve project milestones. Act as the focal point for UK and overseas strategic alliance partners to support and develop New Nuclear Business for continuing New Nuclear Business and Contracts.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    · Overall responsibility for Nuclear New Build Projects (NNB).

    · Responsible for the overall execution of the projects, including all elements of execution: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, following Business Standards and Procedures

    · Promote and maintain a culture of professionalism, openness, honesty, commitment, collaboration and continuous improvement at all levels of the Projects

    · Own and lead the NNB projects risk profile, and identify and incorporate lessons learned

    · Review and approve monthly progress reports and schedule updates, ensuring changes in scope, durations or start/finish dates are fully explained and mitigated

    · Write proposals for variations and negotiate to a successful conclusion with the client

    · Standing in for NNB Project Managers when required (leave / illness etc.)

    What we're looking for:

    · Strong engineering and service-related background. Experience in managing major projects and leading a deadline driven project/team.

    · Recognised engineering qualification (minimum HNC). Substantial recent experience as a Project Manager within an engineering environment with the ability to manage projects throughout the full project lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, site installation and commissioning.

    · Strong financial and commercial understanding. Prince 2 or similar qualification preferential.

    · Sound understanding of modern project planning/scheduling processes. Knowledge of rotating equipment is advantageous. Willing to become fully conversant with company HSEQ procedures and management systems.
