ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct camera and sensor failsafe checks for the label and date coding verification system.
Conduct area temperature checks and probe verification checks and raise any issues to the QA team.
Request replacement equipment needed by operations team.
Be the 1st point of call, for issues on the lines, assess the situation and provide all relevant information to the QA team that can assist with the investigation.
Fully understand the equipment and the required checks for each of the lines.
Have good knowledge of products and their challenges.
Segregate and label on hold items until a decision is made.
Report food safety, legality & quality issues to the team manager and the QA team.
Report damaged/missing parts of the equipment to engineering and QA team.
Conduct spot checks on production paperwork, to identify areas of improvement.
Play an active role in the complaints reduction action plan working with the QA team and operations to drive high product quality standards.
Set up metal detectors and checkweighers and resolve any issues.
To be a key member of the site audit traceability team.
Communicate effectively with all the departments and across all levels.
Work positively to drive continuous improvement within the operations team.
Any other duties or project work may be assigned as deemed necessary to the needs of the business.

Accuracy of equipment set up (MD, CW, Olympus etc)
Level of errors identified

Hold/Quarantine item management

Number remaining open / not dealt within required timescale

QA procedural third party and customer audit compliance - QA area level of NC's raised

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Essential:
Experience in Food industry

Food Safety qualification at Level 2 or higher

Desirable:
Experience in similar role
