Supporter Liaison Officers (SLOs) will provide excellent service and assistance to all fans and visitors to the stadium on matchdays.

SLOs will be based outside of each stand in the 90 minutes leading up to kick-off in a position to assist with any general matchday queries and issues that may arise such as directing supporters to the correct destination or entrance point.

You will be a face of the Club and an advocate of fantastic service.

The SLOs will receive a briefing prior to each game to make them aware of any issues of note within matchday planning.


During half-time, SLOs will be required to assist supporters on their relevant concourses and liaising with the Matchday Experience Officer about any issues across the Club's catering, hospitality and half-time activity.


Following each shift, SLOs will report key feedback and issues of concern to the Club's Supporter Services team in order to help improve the matchday experience.


Duties of the role:


  • To provide assistance and advice to supporters on matchdays help with directions, ticket purchases, general enquiries, and queries as they arise.
  • To become a point of contact and friendly face for all visitors to the stadium.
  • To understand and communicate all matchday activity to supporters in a friendly manner.
  • To provide feedback to the Club from supporters and input ideas on improvements that could be made to improve the supporter experience.

Person Specification:

SLOs must be presentable, positive and represent Birmingham City FC in an appropriate manner at all times.

Previous customer service or communications experience would be advantageous as well as a good knowledge of our city and Club.

Successful SLOs will have a sufficient understanding and knowledge of Birmingham City FC and a desire to improve and be an active part of the matchday experience.

SLOs will represent the Club in a professional and appropriate manner at all times. Applicants must be able to commit to attending at least two thirds of home matchdays throughout the season.

Only applicants that meet the above criteria will be considered for the role. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are eligible to live and work in the UK.
