London or Ipswich - Hybrid Remote (1-2 days per month in the office)


My client seeking a highly skilled and experienced automation tester with a background in financial services to join a project team tasked with building a Market Securities System from scratch.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executingautomated tests to ensure the quality and stability of the new system and helping to embed automation test practices into the team.

The system will be a customer-quality web platform built in.
Net, Angular and Azure.


Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop automated test scripts for various financial software products.
  • Implement and maintain test automation frameworks to ensure the efficiency and scalability of testing.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand product requirements and ensure testing aligns with those requirements.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze the results to identify and report defects.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to ensure the quality and usability of the products.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of highquality, maintainable code.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, new testing tools, and emerging trends.

Requirements:


  • At least 3 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in the financial services / insurance / or professional services industries.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Appium or TestComplete.
  • Experience in test management tools like JIRA or Quality Center.
  • Ability to create scripts to test both UI and APIs/Data feeds
  • Some awareness of testing reports built out in PowerBI would be beneficial
  • Good understanding of software development methodologies, testing techniques, and testing best practices (ideally.
Net and Angular)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Understanding of a11y and performance testing
