£28,000 - £32,000 + Benefits (Depending on Experience)
One of our great clients now has a fresh vacancy for an assistant fire safety manager to join their award-winning team in the Southeast.
Our client was founded in 1979 and have since go on to build a strong reputation for delivering high quality mechanical,electrical and security services to domestic and commercial customers.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced fire safety engineer to join an established company delivering building support to local authorities, landlords, NHS trusts and private sector clients.
Key duties of an Assistant Fire Safety Manager:
- To manage and monitor fire safety contracts, new installations, and project works.
- Responsible for the management of clear, consistent, and quality fire safety management, repairs and improvements.
- Provide a professional advisory service, embracing all areas of fire safety management.
- Ensure the effective delivery of all fire safety works and ensure they are completed to a high level of customer satisfaction, to a standard of legal compliance.
- Provide leadership and expert technical knowledge to manage compliance of all aspects of fire safety across all assets, ensuring that the services are maintained and improved.
- Keep up to date with all changes in building regulations, policies and best practice, research new building products and ensure compliance with legislation and good practice.
- To undertake training as appropriate to the post and to keep abreast of developments across the housing profession
Skills, Experience and Qualifications Needed:
- You must have a full UK driving licence to be considered
- You must have good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulation for managing fire safety.
- You will have proven leadership skills demonstrating the ability to deliver effective compliance solutions.
- You will have proven experience of managing contractors and developing successful relationships.
- You must have a great understanding of Fire Safety Regulatory Reform Order 200
- You must be able to communicate information in a clear, articulate and persuasive manner.
- Ability to extract data and produce clear and concise reports for others.
- You will have experience of working with IT systems
