    Job Summary

    Job Title: Central Funding Administrator

    Reports to: Funding Manager

    Employment Type: Permanent, Full time 35 hours per week

    Based: Remote

    In this role, you'll handling termly and monthly funding claims, ensuring accurate records on local authority portals, and efficiently managing funding allocations on our billing system.

  • Responsibilities

  • Advise and support Centre Directors on funding related matters.
  • Manage local authority updates, actioning as per company processes.
  • Update term dates and Early Years rates on the nursery billing system.
  • Extract ad hoc, monthly, and termly data from Nurserycare to Excel.
  • Validate Funding Codes on LA portals within HMRC and company deadlines.
  • Process Early Years funding claims accurately in line with Local Authority schedules.
  • Track and reconcile outstanding Early Years payments, addressing discrepancies.
  • Maintain precise records of funding on local authority portals and nursery billing system.
  • Process milk claims and Childcare Grant (CCG) following company procedures.
  • Identify children eligible for EYPP and 2YO funding, providing details to centres.
  • Regularly communicate with centres, reviewing changes, leavers, joiners, etc.
  • Review the validity of local authority refund requests and process parent paperwork.
  • Key skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 year's experience working within a finance environment.
  • Practical experience with Nurserycare or other billing systems is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively without supervision.
  • Excel knowledge to intermediate level is essential.
  • Ability to manage workloads and prioritise based on matter of importance to ensure deadlines are met.
