    Senior Control Systems Engineer - Northampton - £45k - £65kOne of my key clients working in Motorsport and based in Northamptonshire is looking for a Senior Controls Systems Engineer to join their flourishing team.

    You will report to the Head of Electronics and Control and be responsible for developing and managing all performance related control systems.

    Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink is a definite requirement for these roles with a strong understanding of Vehicle Dynamic principles and their application to Motorsport a strong desirable.

    Senior Controls Systems EngineerSalary:
    £45k to £65kLocation: NorthamptonshireWFH varied & Travel arrangements

    Key Responsibilities:
    Design, develop, and implement control algorithms and strategies for various vehicle systems, including powertrain, chassis, and aerodynamics.
    Conduct system modeling, simulation, and analysis to optimize performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    Collaborate with software engineers to integrate control algorithms into embedded systems and vehicle software platforms.
    Perform validation testing and troubleshooting to ensure robustness and reliability of control systems in real-world racing conditions.

    Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation in control system design and implementation.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
    Proven experience in control system design and development, preferably in the motorsport or automotive industry.
    Proficiency in modelling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
    Strong understanding of control theory, signal processing, and dynamic systems.
    Experience with embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
    Passion for motorsport and a desire to push the boundaries of technology in pursuit of competitive excellence.
