    Description

    Experienced and qualified Mechanical Technicians required for an installation project in the Bedfordshire area. Must have Gas Turbine experience.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provision of technical expertise to turnover of the mechanical scope of work to support construction, to start-up and hand over.
    • To plan and carry out the work in accordance with the program / schedule, execution plans, construction procedures.
    • To carry out mechanical Checks, Verifications and Functionality in support of and as required by the Mechanical System Owners.
    • To carry out the works by system, as directed by the Mechanical Lead, to meet the construction schedule and sequence.
    • Understand all project related permits and works to identify any actions which may produce a violation of those permits.
    • Provide detailed information to the Mechanical Lead for the preparation of the required Daily and weekly Project Reports.
    • Provide information to the Mechanical Lead to maintain a daily log of site significant activities.
    • Address site startup risks that arise on the project as a result of the Mechanical Scope of work.
    • Ensuring that all activities are completed in accordance with the Project Health, Safety, Security and Environmental requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Mechanical Lead and/or Mechanical System Owners.

    Key Attributes

    • Exceptional knowledge of the detailed operation principles of the mechanical equipment used in the Power Plant.
    • Exceptional ability to carry out mechanical set-up works, alignments, bolting and controlled fastenings, maintenance and repairs, trouble shooting and rectification work.
    • To work as part of a team that collectively will carry out the Mechanical Works associated with the common goal.
    • Ability to follow instruction and thereafter, to use own initiative to complete required tasks.

    Scope

    To form an integral part of the mechanical construction team at site to deliver the requirements of the project specific requirements and scope of work and in line with the project schedule.

    Principal Working Relationships

    • Reports on a daily and weekly basis directly to the Mechanical Lead and/or Mechanical System Owners to deliver the functional requirements.
    • Direct working relationship, within the Mechanical Team.
    • Direct working relationship with the Project commissioning team members, including System Owners/Leads, HSSE Teams, TOP Teams and Senior Leadership teams.

    Responsibilities under the Quality Management System (QMS)

    As an Employee you are responsible for complying with the process requirements associated with your role and reporting any deviations from the applicable procedures to the Process Manager or the Process Owner.
