Human Resources Advisor
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a market leading, fast growing organisation in the energy efficiency sector.

As a result of our continued growth, we are seeking to hire a Human Resources Advisor to manage all aspects of HR and provide generalist advice, support and guidance to managers across the business.


In this role, you will be accountable and responsible for keeping changes updated in employment law and HR best practice ensuring that advice and support given is accurate and up to date.

You will be responsible for updating all ER case management trackers and reporting back to the board effectively along with but not limited to employee resourcing, development, training, disciplinary, grievance, appeals, flexible working.


Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering professional HR services incorporating recruitment and selection, retention and succession planning, disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy process and other ER matters.
  • Providing advice and guidance to managers on policies and procedures and advising on complex and difficult HR issues.
  • Sharing best practices from across all areas of the business to enable improvement and contribute ideas to develop the HR service to ensure its development, continued integrity, legal compliance, and alignment with business strategy.
  • Supporting and coaching line managers in delivering their line management responsibilities.
  • Interrogating local HR statistics to determine any problems or issues and providing advice on appropriate action.
  • Draft and send offer letters and contracts to new starters.
  • Utilise the business specific HR system to upload all new starters
  • Track all annual leave
  • Track all sickness absence and support managers on dealing with sickness absence across the group.

About You

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a stand alone environment but also contributing across a wider project, site, or area.
  • Good planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to contribute to meeting standards and specifications.
  • Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team.
  • Specialist knowledge in chosen field.
  • Good writing, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to handle situations and problems.
  • Know when to ask for help and guidance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • CIPD qualified or able to demonstrate extensive HR experience.
  • Significant experience in handling HRrelated issues including legal requirements.
  • Good knowledge of internal HR procedures and ability to deliver them.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law and best practice together with knowledge and understanding of how this is practically delivered.
  • Good organisational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
