Manchester city centre based law firm has an opportunity for a Solicitor (0-3 PQE) to join their Clinical Negligence department.

This role would suit candidates who have experience of managing a caseload of the full spectrum of Clinical Negligence matters, or to have gained experience of assisting in such matters during a Training Contract.

The team includes members of the Law Society's specialist panel of clinical negligence solicitors and the Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA) solicitors panel.

Skills and knowledge required:
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales, c.0-3 years' PQE.
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of legal principles and court procedures in relation to clinical negligence work.
Prepare and plan cases at all levels of court in connection with clinical negligence work.
Undertake advocacy before District Judges and where appropriate Circuit Judges in connection with clinical negligence work.

Determine appropriately the need for experts, agents or counsel to be instructed upon issues which they are to address.

Understand and put into practice LSC Franchise requirements.

Negotiable salary depending on experience.

A minimum of 25 days' annual leave (increasing with length of service) plus office closure between Christmas and New Year.
