The Green Economy Banking group is part of Commercial Banking at JPMorgan Chase and focuses on companies typically with revenues of up to $3B which require traditional banking services in addition to investment banking products.

The Green Economy Banking group was launched in 2021 to support the development and growth of companies that are advancing decarbonization through innovative technologies in sectors including Renewable Energy, Efficiency Technology, Clean Mobility and EV Charging, Agriculture and Food Technology and Sustainable Finance.

The Green Economy team is part of a multi-faceted eco-system at J.P. Morgan that supports J.P.

Morgan's commitment to building a more sustainable and inclusive economy including through the acceleration of the transition to low-carbon world.


The position is primarily geared to providing leadership to deal teams and accountability for pitch book preparation and transaction execution, while ensuring coordination among analysts, senior deal team members, and credit underwriting.

As a member of the team, the position plays an integral part to help gain, manage and maintain client relationships within the Green Economy Banking industry.

The final level of the position will be determined at the time of an offer.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Daily project coordination, deal execution and client management
  • Detailed valuation analysis, including DCF analysis, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analysis
  • Detailed combination and other financial analysis
  • Preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials
  • Collaborate with credit underwriting team on analysis, structuring and documentation of credit requests
  • Support capital structure analysis concentrating on syndicated leveraged finance transactions, interest rate and currency hedging, high grade and high yield bonds, and asset backed securities
  • Take an active and leadership role in supporting client coverage
  • Interaction with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to junior members of the team

Skills & Experience:


  • Strong academic trackrecord
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, multitask and manage processes efficiently
  • Ability to be a highly motivated, productive team player
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and marketing skills necessary
  • Highly organized, detailoriented and proactive
  • Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment
  • Experience in Investment Banking of Commercial Banking either in M&A, an industry group, capital markets or leveraged finance is preferable
  • Indepth understanding of Investment Banking and Commercial Banking products
  • Outstanding analytical skills in financial analysis, credit and modelling
  • Commitment to personal growth and career development
  • European language skills, while not required, are desirable
