HGV TECHNICIAN
We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join a market leader in transportation based in Hull. This is a Permanent Vacancy with great opportunities to progress, offering a payrate of £18.50ph PLUS £1000 joining bonus and increased holiday entitlement

Shift pattern / Working hours

Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm

45 hour working week

Start date / Duration

The HGV Technician role is a Permanent position that will commence with immediate effect however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this.

Job description

As a HGV Technician you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing vehicles to a high maintenance standard. Day to day you will be expect to;

Carry out minor to major mechanical repairs
Inspect vehicles for works that may need to be carried out
Carry out routine services
Be competent in using diagnostic equipment
Be able to interpret and complete paperwork
Be approachable for our customers


The successful candidate:
To be considered for the position of HGV Technician you must;

• Be a "Time Served" technician or possess City & Guilds 1, 2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications
• Have experience in truck repairs
• Have your own full set of tools
• Have a basic knowledge of computers
• Be able to complete relevant paperwork
• Be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
• Hold a full UK Driving License

Overtime - paid at Time + 1⁄2 after 45 hours / Sundays at Double Time / Bank Holidays at Double time plus a day in lieu
