    Construction Site Manager (Permanent)

    London

    Start Date: Mid May (at the latest)

    Up to £70k per annum + Package

    The Site Manager will oversee all on-site operations at The Sainsbury Wellcome Centre in London. Reporting to the Project Manager on site, the Site Manager will be responsible for the following:

    · Supervising and coordinating all construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

    · Managing subcontractors and tradespeople, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and quality control.

    · Overseeing the progress of the project and implementing adjustments to meet time and budget constraints.

    · Collaborating with the Project Manager to develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

    · Providing regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders, including project team members, clients, and senior management.

    · Resolving any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, and implementing effective solutions.

    · Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety among all workers on site.

    · Monitoring and managing site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment usage, and site security.

    · Liaising with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical queries and ensure construction quality.

    · Maintaining accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, inspection records, and as-built documentation.

    Requirements:

    · 10-15 years of experience in construction management, preferably with a background in trades.

    · Strong building experience, including new build, façade, and commercial office projects.

    · Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion up to £10m in value.

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

    · Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.

    · Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.

    · Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

    · Valid construction-related certifications or qualifications (e.g. CSCS, SMSTS) would be advantageous.
