    Description

    CitySuites is a serviced apartment that offers luxury touches with home comforts, offering a level of service and quality you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere in the market. This fusion is the first of its kind and the end result is a highly desirable accommodation where residents don't have to compromise on their lifestyle or property choice.

    In a customer facing environment, you will be responsible for all aspects of running the housekeeping department from training and development to rotas and budgeting. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate and have the highest standard of cleanliness and highest level of customer service. In your role you will liaise with other departments to check availability of rooms or to make sure guests' requests are met quickly. You need to be computer literate and be able to liaise with support professionals in providing an excellent service to our customers as part of the management team. You will be expected to liaise with the General Manager and heads of departments, attending regular meetings.

    Key roles for the Head Housekeeper & Maintenance Coordinator:

    • Team management, recruitment, training and development, rotas, wage controls
    • Dealing with suppliers of linen, cleaning materials and room consumables
    • Room quality management, in accordance to company standards
    • Managing the housekeeping departments operational budget
    • Liaison with other departments to ensure rooms are ready for arrivals and special requests have been organised
    • Liaising with maintenance regarding the upkeep of the rooms
    • To produce and maintain excellent records of all housekeeping activities of the property
    • Coordinate maintenance team with assigned duties.

    Customer service

    The customer proposition will be market leading with unchallenged service standards in the local market, you will be expected:

    1. To ensure that the total appearance of the building creates a professional impression to customers and team members

    2. To drive the consistent delivery of customer service

    3. To evaluate and act on Customer Service Reports

    4. To review and act upon customer feedback relevant to your areas of responsibility to achieve positive and consistent results

    Business Awareness

    As part of your role you will be expected:

    1. To keep yourself informed of the Brand goals and objectives

    2. To benefit payroll costs by allocating labour resources in line with forecasted and actual consumer levels.

    3. To control departmental operating costs in line with business levels to achieve budget

    Staff

    You will be expected to motivate and drive the team to success, creating an awarding winning culture which exceeds all key objectives. You will be expected too:

    1. Create a team environment which promotes good employee morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride in the residence.

    2. To ensure effective communication within all company departments

    3. To carry out quality training and development in a systematic and professional way in order to meet the needs of the business and assist in individual Team Members personal development. To ensure training is recorded and all Team Members complete the Company Induction Programme

    4. To continuously coach relevant team members

    5. To produce relevant staff rosters

    General

    As part of the Management team you will be accountable for:

    1. Ensuring the residence achieves all legislative compliance

    2. To act as the Guest Relations Manager as required, ensuring a professional and friendly service throughout the residence

    3. To operate all IT systems in line with Company requirements

    4. To undertake any other reasonable project as required by the Operations Director to grow and improve the business

    5. To attend training when required

    6. To be fully aware of and strictly adhere to Fire, Bomb and Health and Safety procedures

    7. To strictly adhere to all security procedures laid down by the Company

    8. To be fully aware of and comply with CitySuites rules and regulations as identified in the Employee handbook

    This role will report directly to the General Manager. Key reporting items will be:

    • Customer service standards, including customer feedback
    • Operational standards, through the QSCD system (Quality, service, cleanliness and development)
    • Cleaning schedules
    • Completion of cleaning tasks within given timescales
    • Expenditure against budget
    • Health and Safety reports

    Reporting will be by way of weekly update meetings, ad-hoc meetings and weekly reports.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Schedule:

    • Monday to Friday
    • Weekend availability

    Work Location: In person
