Senior Associate Lawyer.

You would deliver high-quality legal advice in employment lawand to the Greater London Authorities under the shared services arrangements.


Details

  • Job Title: Senior Associate Lawyer
  • Location: Hybrid/1 day Southwark Office
  • Pay Rate: £363 PAYE/ £489.13 Umbrella.
Contract Duration: 8 Months (possibility of extension)


Skills, knowledge, and experience

  • To provide support and assistance in relation to Employment Tribunal cases as agreed with the Head of Employment Law, including undertaking all necessary steps in the employment litigation process prior to cases being outsourced and evaluating the risksassociated with those cases so as to ensure that the businesses business' interests are protected.
  • Responsible for providing effective and efficient employment law advice including advising on employment related strategy and policy issues which have a material impact on TfL. Anticipating changes in employment legislation, caselaw and best practice andadvising on the impact on TfL and working collaboratively with HR on the appropriate actions to be taken.
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister in the UK or equivalent jurisdiction.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, drafting, legal analysis and problem resolution.
  • Excellent problem solving, communications, engagement and influencing skills.
  • The post holder will have solid experience of providing contentious and noncontentious employment law advice and practice support and managing the provision of external legal advice.
