    Salary:
    £27,500 per annum

    Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday

    YOU MUST HAVE A CLASS 1 HGV LICENSE FOR THIS ROLE.

    As they expand operations, they are seeking a dedicated Workshop/Yard Assistant to support the team in moving Class 1 vehicles around the yard.


    Workshop/Yard Assistant Overview:
    My client is currently seeking a motivated Workshop/Yard Assistant to join the team. The Workshop/Yard Assistant will primarily be responsible for safely moving Class 1 vehicles within the yard facility. This role is essential to maintaining the organisation and efficiency of operations.

    Key Responsibilities for this Workshop/Yard Assistant role:

    • Safely operate Class 1 vehicles (such as trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment) within the yard.
    • Assist in organising the yard layout to optimise space and workflow.
    • Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure vehicles are positioned for maintenance and repairs.
    • To ensure all customers are greeted and vehicles parked in an orderly manner, manoeuvring large vehicles.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate vehicle movements and prioritise tasks.

    Experience required for this Workshop/Yard Assistant role:

    • Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Proven experience operating Class 1 vehicles is preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
    • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
