Job description:


Defence Supply Chain Operations and Movements (DSCOM) is a 1* Military Headquarters within the Joint Support 2* area of the Defence Support organisation.

DSCOM is a joint organisation comprising a mix of military, civilian and contractor staff based mainly at MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol.

The role of Supply Chain Operations will deliver (Reverse) Supply Chain ((R)SC) optimisation and coherence from Strategic Base (SB) to Far Bank in order to support global deploy, sustain and recovery activity in accordance with Defence priorities and be enabled to control SB Outload activity and ensuring Value for Defence.


Person specification:

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to;

  • Liaison with External and Internal stakeholders.
  • Act as SME on all matters relating to Forward SC/RSC performance and coherence, inclusive of the capture and promulgation of Lessons Identified.
  • Optimising global sustainment effort by challenging poor SC behaviour.
  • Coordinate and regulate the outload of materiel to support Strategic Base Outload Plan (SBOP) / Baseline Activity Current Operations (BACO).
  • Exception management and managing scarcity.
  • Task Issue of materiel to meet BACO and SBOP.
  • Conduct Consignment Tracking of materiel flowing across the Defence Supply Chain.
  • Assure and coordinate Theatre Reverse Priority List across the Supply Chain.
