Description
We are looking for an experienced
Bookkeeper to join our client's
Chartered Accountants based in the
Huddersfield area


Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:


  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Manage expense claims and credit card reconciliations.

Accounts Receivable:


  • Generate customer invoices and statements.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
  • Record and reconcile incoming payments.

Bank Reconciliations:


  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow.

VAT Returns:


  • Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT regulations.

Financial Reporting:


  • Support in the preparation of financial reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Generate financial statements for management review.

Audit Support:


  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
  • Provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit queries.

Software Proficiency:


  • Utilize accounting software to manage financial data.
  • Stay updated on software upgrades and improvements.

Ad Hoc Tasks:


  • Assist with special projects and financial analysis as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the finance department.

Requirements:


  • AAT Qualified / Studying towards ACA/ACCA / Newly Qualified ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience
  • Previous bookkeeping experience

Salary:


  • Circa £30,000 depending on experience
