    Duties of a Chef/Cook are varied, and no two days will be the same in the home's busy kitchen.

    As a general guide you will prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, providing special dietary requirements where necessary for residents.

    You will assist in the planning and costing of menus in order to provide a balanced nutritious diet, making the best use of available fresh foods.


    You will also check deliveries and ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and the kitchen, dining areas, including equipment, are cleaned to statutory Health and Safety standards.

    What we're looking for

    Level 2/3 catering qualification or equivalent, or a commitment to undertake further training and development relevant to the role.
    Food hygiene qualifications or equivalent or a commitment to undertake further training and development relevant to the role.
    Good standard of written and verbal English.
