M & A Specialist-Head Office Milton Keynes

Hours:

F
ull time Monday to Friday, 40
hours per week with hybrid working 2-3 days in our Milton Keynes Head Office**
Salary:£55,000 per annum with a £5,000 OTE scheme in place**

The role
***A new and rare position has arisen within Marshall Motor Group that will see you Support the M&A process to ensure maximum profitability of all transactions whilst working alongside the FP&A team by doing external benchmarking analysis. Tis role is hybrid and you will need to be a commutable distance to our Head Office located in Milton Keynes.

Accountabilities

  • Support the project management of current and future M&A projects by: tracking deliverables per workstream, updating the stakeholders and organising crucial tasks at each stage of the process
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the relevant CAPEX departments (primarily Real Estate and IT) and get involved in all M&A projects.

Operational
Accountabilities

  • Produce CAPEX plans annually (for budget purposes), monthly for month end account production and weekly for cash flow forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis on project sustainability (focussing on M&A, Real Estate and IT projects) and expected future performance which includes business case calculation concentrating on payback period and DVA.
  • Postcompletion project review
  • Undertake competitor & market analysis and internal benchmarking.
  • Support FP&A team
  • Detailed financial analysis and presentation of financial information to support decision making
  • Preparing board packs and business updates where required
  • Continual improvement of processes and procedures
  • Supporting the team with ad hoc projects

Who you are

  • Be a fully qualified accounting professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), at least 2 years PQE.
  • Previous experience in FP&A, M&A and Business Partnering.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise when multitasking.
  • Must be a selfstarter who can independently take projects from inception to execution in a time pressured environment.
  • Exceptional Excel skills (financial modelling, charts, dashboards) essential.
  • Good communication skills, ability to negotiate and develop relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience with TM1 and PowerBI would be advantageous.
