This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing PE backed business as a Senior Accounts Assistant in the Cardiff Gate area.

Working as part of a team and reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information for key stakeholders.

Key duties will include -

Responsibility for credit control
Responsibility for sales invoicing
Investigation of cash receipts and posting of receipts
Business partnering activities to support on financial processes to nonfinancial managers
Reconciliation of petty cash
Reconciliation of bank accounts
Assisting in the preparation of the annual external audit
Developing and managing financial systems, controls and policies to ensure that processes are robust, efficient and effective
Contribute to streamlining and standardisation of our financial processes

Skills and Qualities -

An inquisitive mind
Has the ability to work to deadlines by having an organised and methodical approach
Strong attention to detail is a key skill needed for this role
Excellent communication skills
It is important to be both a strong team player as well as possessing the ability to work alone to complete key tasks
Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) as well as conversant with a range of ERP and IT systems.

Qualifications & Knowledge -

Studying or recently qualified AAT or equivalent
A Levels or equivalent
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong excel skills particularly desirable
