GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client in Hereford for a Production Supervisor to join a highly successful and rapidly expanding organisation on a full-time, permanent, basis.

Our client is an NHS approved, market leading company making inspirational and innovate products for over sixty years.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the 'Pressure Care Production Team' and its manufacturing outputs.

You will also deliver the safe and efficient running of the team whilst monitoring and responding to fluctuating schedule changes.


Production Supervisor Main duties:

  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate to team
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing team schedules in line with the requirements of the master production plan
  • Oversee and coach employees
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment at all times
  • Check production output according to specifications
  • Submit reports on performance and progress
  • Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
  • Train new employees on how to safely use equipment and follow procedures
  • Enforce health and safety guidelines and company standards
  • Maintain focus and discipline team members appropriately
  • Continuously monitor and improve production processes to ensure maximum output, cost efficiency and safe working conditions
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
  • Perform role in accordance with all relevant quality standards and adhere to relevant processes/policies

Production Supervisor required skills and experience:

  • Worked in a manufacturing environment, supervising a team in a fast paced environment
  • Working knowledge of production flows and operation planning
  • Demonstrable efficiency and manufacturing process improvement
  • Managing team development in a manufacturing environment. Ideally involving multitask work flows
  • Planning / Scheduling team workloads within a range of medium volume, batch and jobbing environments
  • Working within a ISO9001 Quality Management System
  • Implementation of lean and continuous improvement processes and improvements
  • Excellent IT skills including use of various ERP systems and MS Office excel
  • Work on own initiative and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Motivate and lead a team by coaching, developing and managing performance
This is a full time, permanent position, Monday - Thursday 08:00am - 17:00pm and Friday 08:00am - 13:00pm.

This role comes with a highly competitive salary up to £30,000 which is pending experience, plus excellent fringe benefits.
