    GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with one of the West Midland's leading Legal Firms.

    We are supporting their recruitment for an Accounts Legal Cashier to join their Edgbaston office on a full time, permanent basis although part time will be considered.

    This position is working Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm and you will receive a salary up to £26k, dependant on experience.


    Accounts Legal Cashier main duties:

    • Processing of Billing
    • Dealing with all day-to-day ledger postings to Client and Office accounts
    • BACS/CHAPS payments
    • Bank Account reconciliation
    • Checking Bills and Completion Statements
    • Credit Control
    • Purchase Ledgers
    • Inputting HMLR and Card Payments
    • Dealing with Dormant Balances
    • Supporting the accounts team with general administration of accounts
    • Working with fee earners to ensure matter balances are kept accurate and up to date

    Required skills and experience:

    • Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or similar role
    • Familiarity with legal billing processes is a plus
    • Have knowledge of SRA Account Rules
    • Have a strong attention to detail and be able to work quickly under pressure
    • Knowledge of annual audit and inspection processes
    • Understanding of basic banking processes
    • Being able to maintain confidentiality to our internal and external clients
    • Demonstrate reliability, organisation and ability to work as part of a team
    • Flexible attitude, ability to deal with multiple tasks
