Job Title: SAP MDG Functional Consultant

Location: London based - Mostly remote working other than travel to client site

Role Overview: The SAP MDG Functional Consultant will play a key role in the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MDG solutions for our clients. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Consultant will work closely with clients to understand their business requirements, design MDG solution architectures, and configure MDG applications to meet their needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP MDG functionality, data modeling principles, and data governance best practices. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical expertise and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements related to master data management and governance.
• Design and configure SAP MDG applications to support master data objects such as customer, vendor, material, and financial data.
• Develop data models, data quality rules, and validation workflows to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the organization.
• Work closely with technical teams to integrate SAP MDG with other SAP modules and third-party systems as needed.
• Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle, including solution design, testing, training, and post-go-live support.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and train end-users on SAP MDG functionality and best practices.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization of SAP MDG solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP consulting, with at least 3 years of experience in SAP MDG implementation and support.
• Deep expertise in SAP MDG configuration, data modeling, and governance principles.
• Strong understanding of SAP data migration tools and techniques, including SAP Data Services (BODS) and LSMW.
• Experience with SAP MDG integration with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and other SAP modules is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• SAP certification(s) in MDG or related modules is a plus.
