    Role Description

    The joinery and marble company is looking for a multiskilled manager to handle commercial and construction responsibilities, reporting to the Director.

    Requirements

    • Meeting with top management and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs
    • Meeting clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility
    • Calculating material quantities and costs, labour costs and an achievable project timeframe
    • Propose value engineering and feasibility solutions
    • Developing detailed project plans to guide clients, staff members and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements
    • Coordinate design and execution
    • Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience and strengths of staff members
    • Monitoring project performance to ensure quality and timely delivery
    • Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs
    • Compiling and submitting project status reports detailing costs and progress to clients, management and other stakeholders
    • Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation
    • Developing excellent leadership, customer relations and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders
    • Advising clients and crew on legal matters and disputes
    • Negotiating labour contracts and schedules
    • Preparing labour and supplier accounts for payment
    • Prepare and submit quotes for tendering
    • Purchase materials for site and workshop from suppliers
    • Prepare subcontractors' contracts
    • Prepare valuations and final accounts
    • Monitor company account and cash flow
    • Monitor workload and timesheets of different teams
    • Be the first point of contact for the workshop and site team, constantly communicating with the workshop manager and site foreman.
    • Organise import and export of goods, ensuring all legal documents are in place
    This role is based in their head office in Victoria, directly managing a team of 2: junior cad technician and an assistant
