    The Band 7 Nurse and Non Medical Prescriber will contribute to, and be responsible for ensuring the most effective and best use of staff and resources.

    The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery and monitoring of high standards of nursing care and responsible for nurturing the culture of continued learning and service development ensuring patients are assessed and admitted into the service according to their clinical needs, in accordance relevant clinical protocol and policies providing up-to-date evidence-based practice.

    The post holder will also have responsibility to implement and monitor comprehensive assessments for those patients admitted to the service with substance misuse issues ensuring improved access throughout this prison population for all patients in need of a substance misuse treatment/psychosocial programmes and ensuring continuity of care when discharged back into the community in line with local and national guidelines.

    You will manage a specialist substance misuse prescribing service, offering nursing advice regarding substance misuse related issues to nursing colleagues in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the plan of care for patient referred to this specialist service.

    The successful candidate is driven to provide high-quality clinical assessment and treatment to substance dependent users. You are driven to deliver high standards of nursing care and interventions and demonstrate leadership qualities. You have a flexible and can-do approach to work, invested in providing great care to our clients.

    • SystemOne and Microsoft Word and Excell
    • Experience and understanding of the substance misuse sector.
    * 2 years in Substance Misuse at minimum band 6 level
