Group Transport Manager - Working for a very well established Civil Engineering company

Harbourne Associates are currently supporting a Civil Engineering company who are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Transport Manager to join their rapidly growing team.

Our client is responsible for defining and executing the commercial requirements nationally. They also oversee business performance across the operations function and across the supporting business divisions. With a turnover of £110million+ and over 800vehicles.

Role:

Ensuring the timely, costeffective procurement and delivery of fleet & plant
Supplier negotiations to ensure best terms on contracts, payment terms, pricing and service
Analysis of supplier performance against agreed service levels and contractual terms
Design and implement a comprehensive company fleet & plant strategy
Establish costeffective disposal processes
Drive innovation in the supply chain
Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers
Managing and reporting on company fleet & plant costs
Experience managing and growing a commercial fleet & plant, sourcing & procurement of commercial vehicles.
A commercial mindset with proven successful experience managing finances & costs within a fleet operation.
Experience developing effective processes for managing and maintaining a fleet & plant.
