    Description

    In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our operations, tasked with ensuring the optimal functionality of our equipment and machinery. Your proficiency across both mechanical and electrical disciplines will be instrumental in maintaining production efficiency and safety standards.

    The role is rotating shifts as below:

    • Early 05:30 – 14:00 Mondy – Friday
    • Lates 14:00 – 22:00 – Monday – Friday
    • 09:00 – 17:00 Monday – Friday\
    Salary: £40,000

    Here's a glimpse into what the role entails:

    • Executing planned preventative maintenance activities with a strong focus on food safety and health and safety protocols.
    • Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns, applying your expertise to swiftly restore functionality.
    • Conducting thorough root cause analyses to identify and rectify faults, thereby enhancing equipment efficiency.
    • Taking the lead on continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing our processes.
    • Overseeing the commissioning, decommissioning, and installation of equipment as needed.
    • Managing spare parts inventory and procurement processes to ensure uninterrupted operations.
    • Proactively conducting observations and autonomous maintenance to mitigate production line disruptions.

    To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

    • A relevant Engineering Qualification such as an apprenticeship, City & Guilds certification, NVQ, ONC/HND, or BTEC.
    • Proficiency in electrical engineering, including BS7671 17th or 18th Edition Amendment 1 or 2, 2391 Inspection and testing, and fault finding.
    • Demonstrated experience in both electrical and mechanical engineering, preferably within an FMCG (food or drink) environment.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and familiarity with modern lean manufacturing techniques.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
    • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to work.
