Position: Group Reporting Manager
Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 + bonus
Hybrid working: 3 days office
A private equity backed professional services business with a turnover of £350m is seeking a Group Reporting Manager to join their new offices in Central London.
Purpose of the Role/Role Overview:
Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) financial accountant responsible for management of month-end processes and instrumental in budgeting and planning cycles. This role is a subject matter expert in IFRS and is the key audit contact.
General Duties/Key Responsibilities:
· Ownership of the consolidation (Tagetik), ensuring improvement are made continually and all consolidation entries are fully understood and documented
· Preparation of Group consolidated monthly management accounts and analysis (for inclusion in CFO Report and Lenders' Pack)
· Robust balance sheet reviews of trading entities, ensuring "no surprises"
· Ownership of Group-level reconciliations of investments in subsidiaries, goodwill, acquired intangibles, right of use assets, leases and all equity balances (monthly or quarterly as appropriate)
· Group budgeting and reforecasting process, with particular focus on Group working capital and Group cash flow statement and review of OpCo submissions
· Work closely with System Accountant to ensure consolidation system (Tagetik) is fit for purpose at all times with appropriate reports in place
· Developing, reviewing and monitoring financial controls, driving efficiency and effectiveness; reviewing processes such as O2C, P2P and R2R on a regular basis
· Preparation of extensive sections of Group Annual Report (under IFRS)
· Preparation of subsidiary accounts (under FRS101)
· First point of contact for Group auditors
· Liaising with tax advisors across a number of different taxes
· Technical accounting expertise in relation to IFRS 16 Leases
· Technical accounting expertise in relation to IFRS 3 Business Combinations
· Impairment reviews and going concern analysis
· Accounting and integration of acquisitions
· Preparation of technical papers as and when required
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified with strong technical background
