    SQL Database Administration

    • Day Rate: Up to £600/day (Dependent on candidate experience)
    • Contract Length: Initial 6-months
    • IR35 Status: Outside IR35
    • Hybrid Model: 3 days in Central London, 2 days remote (Non-negotiable)
    • Office Location: Central London
    • Client Sector: Financial / Banking / Trading (Candidates must have experience)

    About the Client & Role

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned globally operating trading organisation.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the SQL Server Warehouse, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health, and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams. The data warehouse supports an enterprise application suite of program management tools. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Managing SQL Server databases.
    • Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes.
    • Monitoring system's health and performance.
    • Ensuring high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
    • Analysing, solving, and correcting issues in real-time.
    • Providing suggestions for solutions.
    • Refining and automating regular processes, tracking issues, and documenting changes.
    • Performing scheduled maintenance and supporting release deployment

    Skills Required:

    • Strong experience as a SQL Server DBA.
    • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server database administration, including database design, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
    • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
    • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
    • Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as database mirroring, log shipping, and clustering.
