My client is a medium sized market leading provider of specialist services for a range of infrastructure related applications.

The company is part of a successful group, has a track record of consistent, profitable growth and has a healthy order book with a clear strategy for continued development.

As a board appointment, this role is expected to strengthen the executive leadership team and to work alongside the Managing Director to enable the company to take advantage of the exciting commercial opportunities available.

Alongside supervising the Financial Controller in the day to day management of the finance function and the normal statutory requirements, key elements of the position will include proactively contributing to commercial decision making, ensuring that contracts are commercially & legally robust, forward planning, assisting in the development of strategy and acting as the primary contact with group, external advisors and stakeholders.

You should be a professionally qualified accountant, with a track record of operating at Finance Director level in the construction, civil engineering or contracting sector.

A broad business mindset, well developed commercial acumen and effective influencing skills are prerequisites.

Basic salary is in the region of £125k plus benefits including car allowance, generous bonus scheme and group pension.
