    Gloucester

    £91,000 pa + £9,000 Car Allowance + Dividends & Equity

    Overview

    Compass Associates are proud to be working exclusively with one of the UK's leading providers of ophthalmology services, who are currently in search for an operations director to oversee the functioning and further development of an existing ophthalmic service in Gloucester.

    As a company, they are fully focused on delivering exceptional patient care for both NHS and private patients. They continue to invest heavily in their staff and technology, being known for having a strong reputation as both an eye care provider and employer. With over 15 years' experience and coverage nationwide, they offer a range of services including cataracts surgery, glaucoma surgery, lens replacement, AMD treatment and more.

    The Position / Candidate

    This service is a joint venture partnership between the business at hand, this operations director and clinical directors who are already in post.

    You will be an integral part of the senior leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing the growth and development of the service in the coming years This will include holding P&L responsibility, overseeing operational performance & growth plans for the hospital, holding CQC registered manager responsibility for the site and building strong relationships with stakeholders, commissioning groups and the internal SLT.

    You will have the support of an operations manager & theatre manager on site, alongside the backing and support from the wider business with all things marketing, contracts management, payroll and procurement.

    Salary & Benefits

    • The annual salary for this position will be £91,000 + £9,000 Car Allowance - however there may be some flexibility here for exceptional candidates.
    • Alongside the annual salary, you will gain access to dividends and will have a sizeable equity share.
    • Details around the total package, projections & realistic expectation for base salary will be discussed upon application.

    Requirements

    • SLT experience in healthcare operations
    • Experience as a hospital director or in regional leadership role within consumer led or surgical care
    • Commercially astute - P&L management of a large, multimillion EBITDA budget
    • Committed to the long-term building of the service
    • Experience having overseen large volumes of staff
    • CQC registered management experience and qualifications such as an MBA are ideal, but not required
