- Keeping debtor notes up-to-date and well-maintained.
- Managing disputed accounts, negotiating resolutions, or preparing for escalation if necessary.
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the Credit Control team.
- Providing commentary on debtors for weekly calls with stakeholders.
- Monitoring the status of significant outstanding invoices to support the company's cash flow.
- Preparing accounts with supporting evidence for legal proceedings.
- Collaborating with the sales order processing team to ensure accurate and updated customer details.
- Maintaining precise individual performance metrics in alignment with team SLAs.
- Generating credit notes as requested.
- Cultivating positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively seeking opportunities to streamline processes.
- Conducting ad-hoc analyses and contributing to various projects
- Significant experience working within Credit Control departments
- Proven experience of operating in a large volume/low value credit control environment
- Proficient using Microsoft Excel, e.g. VLOOKUP function, Pivot Tables
- Confident, persuasive, and clear communicator
- Able to build relationships with both external customers and internal teams at all levels within the organisation
- Numerate, analytical, well-organised and with a good eye for detail
- Able to multi-task and manage multiple work streams to tight deadlines
- Self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team.
