    Position: Purchasing Manager

    Location: Park Royal area, with occasional travel required

    Company: A small company operating in the food manufacturing industry, renowned for its high-quality products.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all aspects of procurement and purchasing activities for the business.
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials.
    • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements.
    • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
    • Collaborate with production and inventory teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards in sourcing and purchasing activities.
    • Manage a purchasing team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in purchasing and procurement within the food manufacturing industry.
    • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms and pricing from suppliers.
    • Excellent knowledge of supply chain management principles and procurement best practices.
    • Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance data to inform purchasing decisions.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations and quality standards in the food industry.
    • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    Salary: Competitive salary of approximately £40k, commensurate with experience.
