My client is a global engineering organisation that provides leading products and solutions to clients within the O&G, Marine, Industrial and Renewable industries.

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Planning Engineer for their site in West Lothian. This is commutable from the majority of the central belt.

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for meeting company delivery expectations whilst ensuring the safety, cost and quality of product is optimised and the overarching business objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

Process SOC's and Production Requests from internal departments and Sales/Internal sales, create routings and raise work orders to manufacture required items and subitems
Assist with ongoing and future implementations and Planning process improvements
Resolves ERP system related issues and ensures the integrity of the database
Schedule all planned work through Factory Planning scheduling system, liaise with Inventory Controller, Stores and Materials department to issue and deliver materials to production in a timely manner
Review current capacity booked for live jobs and provide lead times to Sales and internal departments
Supports the Senior Planning Manager in various analyses and other tasks

Qualifications & Experience:

Must have strong attention to detail with proven capabilities in handling multiple priorities
High level of competency in using Microsoft Office products, including; Excel, Word and Microsoft Projects
HNC/HND in relevant discipline, 3+ years' experience of full material line planning responsibilities in a manufacturing environment
