POSITION LOCATION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Henty Oil, a subsidiary of WFS, currently requires a Terminal Operator to oversee HSSEQ, cargo transfer, discharge and storage activities on behalf of the UK's leading independent marine fuel specialist supporting the business within a team of eleven operatives on a 24/7 work pattern.


Core duties and responsibilities include:

  • Working to WFS/Henty oil IMS to maintain company standards
  • Providing front line support for the Terminal management
  • Effective communication of day to day procedures and policies
  • Supervision of teams to meet Terminal production requirements
  • Coordinating customer orders into the daily work schedule
  • Supporting Terminal PFSO / DPFSO
  • Monitor & Record Terminal Security issues
  • Mentoring Terminal Operator Training
  • Trained in Human Factor aspects
  • Writing and communicating Terminal procedures
  • Carry out Risk Assessment
  • Understanding Terminal Incident & Accident Reporting systems
  • Working with WFS admin groups to provide effective service levels
  • Gathering KPI's for the Terminal / Company reporting/PFM control for shift
  • Working with Terminal engineers to facilitate Terminal Operations
  • Leading Control of Work on the Terminal
  • Permit to Work Issuer
  • Leading Health & Safety on the terminal
  • LIM in the event of local incident
  • Ensuring all Terminal operational visitors are inducted
  • Flexible Team Member providing cross roll cover where required
  • Effective admin skills
  • Computer Literate
  • Stock Controller ensuring the records are accurate and reported as required
  • Receive cargo and vessel transfer into storage facility.
  • Discharge product from storage facility to company vessels and 3rd party vessels.
  • Complete all daily routine as instructed by line manager.
  • Transfer product from within storage facility to create new product blends to correct specifications.
  • Tank gauging for vessel movements and month end stock taking.
  • Maintaining computerized record system of product movements.
  • Ensure product is maintained at the correct temperature.
  • Ensure all operations are carried out in a timely and safe manner with special attention to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies.
  • Ensure correct documentation is completed prior, during and after all transactions.
  • Training: commitment to continuous improvement and support for terminal first aid and fire warden requirements.
  • Taking ownership of terminal housekeeping and cleanliness
  • Driving counter balance truck and Terminal van
  • Assisting with Terminal engineering and housekeeping

PERSON SPECIFICATION (BACKGROUND AND SKILLS):
Essential

  • Demonstrate strong supervisory skill
  • Experience controlling work schedules
  • Experience controlling teams of people
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office products particularly Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Experienced in the Mentoring and Training of others
  • Numerate ability able to calculate percentage blends.
  • Willing to work within a shift pattern and flexible on working hours.
  • Health & Safety Leader experience of working to strict Health & Safety procedures and experience of implementing Health and Safety practices.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights in excess of 16 meters (Tank tops).
  • Strong Team Player but works equally well selfmotivated.
  • Have own transport.
Desirable

  • Experienced in ship to shore operations (
