Health, Safety & Sustainability Manager

Working for a Sub contractor based in the South East, leading the Health and Safety function, with a full order book for 2024 and securing long-term frameworks.

Location: Offices based inHounslow & Crawley

Salary: - £60,000 - £65,000 basic + Car

Role Description

The Resolute Group has been retained to recruit several positions for this growing sub-contractor with this one being a Health and Safety Manager. With a secure order book for 2024 and doubling in size over the last 24 months they need a permanent Health and Safety manager, working 5 days a week. The current Health and Safety consultant is in the business 2 days a week and will hand over to the next permanent member of staff.

Working with the MD and Operations Director to ensure the processes and procedures are in place for not only working as a sub-contractor to tier 1 contractors but now also a tier 1 contractor working directly for clients. The projects vary from £100k to £5m in value, with repeat clients, new clients, and recommendations growing the business rapidly.

With junior Health and Safety members to look after the day-to-day duties on site, your role is to look after the paperwork, risk assessments and ensure the company is compliant on site. Supporting with both supporting Tenders with H&S and Sustainability for the projects (Carbon reduction etc..), Supporting and developing your site representatives ensuring you have a health and safety team that represents the company at all times.

Required Experience

• NEBOSH (minimum requirement)
• Industry experience from the Construction / Infrastructure sector
• Full driving licence
• Health and Safety Manager or at least been involved with system, policies, and procedures.
