A leading broker is currently recruiting an experienced Catastrophe Modeller to join their team in London.

The role sits on an Analytics team and provides clients (UK insurance companies, syndicates and reinsurers) with advice on their exposures to natural disasters such as windstorms, floods and earthquakes.

Comprised of enthusiastic and team-oriented people, the team is continuously looking for ways to evolve their clients' understanding and view of catastrophe risk. Working closely with their brokers, academic partners and their model evaluation specialists enables them to perform and draw from expert analysis and experience to make better decisions for their clients.

Day to Day Tasks

➢ Contributing to model Validation and Evaluation

➢ Participate in committees related to Catastrophe Risk

➢ Lead client portfolios analysis using catastrophe analytics and apply reinsurance structures to these portfolios. Lead client interaction on pressing topics across Facultative and Commercial risk catastrophe analysis

➢ Advise clients on potential incurred losses, post-event and on risk management basis

➢ Lead conversations with reinsurers, brokers and actuaries to understand exposures, review modelling results, explain modelling limitations and resolve issues promptly
