    The Machine Learning RemoteSensing Scientist will be part of the Machine Learning and RemoteSensing team in Revalue. This role would be ideally based in Londonbut candidates in time zones GMT2 can also beconsidered.

    Tasks

    Whatare the main responsibilities of the role

    The role will include but not be limited to:

    • Develop and implement machinelearning models for remote sensing data analysis particularly forland cover change detection and classification. using radar opticalsensors and highresolution imagery.
    • Work withlarge remote sensing datasets to identify and analyse changes inland cover over time.
    • Interested in developingdeploying and monitoring productionfacing machine learningsystems.
    • Collaborate with other team membersand stakeholders to identify research questions design researchstudies and implement solutions.
    • Develop andmaintain documentation of code methods and results for transparencyand reproducibility.
    • Keep uptodate with thelatest developments in remote sensing techniques and machinelearning particularly as they relate to land coverchange.
    • Participate in project planningexecution and reporting including the preparation of technicalreports manuscripts and presentations.
    • Providetraining and support to other team members on remote sensingtechniques and machinelearning.

    Requirements

    Whatdo we expect from you

    • A love of nature; a strong affinityfor the conservation and restoration of naturalsystems.
    • Mission values and impactdriven.
    • Experience in remote sensing dataanalysis particularly in land cover change detection andclassification using radar optical sensors (e.g. Landsat andSentinel) and highresolution imagery.
    • Strongprogramming skills in Python and experience with Familiarity withscientific libraries and frameworks such as ScikitLearn OpenCVPyTorch TorchGeo TensorFlow or Keras.
    • Extensiveknowledge of remote sensing principles including image processingfeature extraction andclassification.
    • Familiarity with land coverchange challenges and environmentalissues.
    • Experience in working with largedatasets and distributed computing.
    • Evidencethat you can work in remote teams are a selfdriver with awillingness to take initiative and committed to continuousimprovement and consistent highperformance within a complex andfastgrowing sector.
    • Resilience and the abilityto make difficult things happen.
    • Outstandingproblemsolving skills and detailorientation.
    • Willingness to join aninternational remote working team travelling to variousinternational settings as needed.
    • A provenability to work effectively in diverse culturalsettings.
    • Demonstrated results in effectivedelivery and daytoday operationalexcellence.
    • An understanding of naturebasedsolutions is desirable but not amust.
