I'm thrilled to have partnered with a growing logistics firm in Skelmersdale.

This firm is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to hit the ground running and take responsibility for all accounting operations.

Role Details

Will be directly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.
Will be responsible for a finance team consisting of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Billing, Management Accounting and Payroll staff.
Required to work onsite from Monday to Friday 09:00 17:00 (Flexi Time).

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of all monthend processes including payroll, and responsible for monthend closure. Produce monthend reports and analysis.
Coordinating the management of cash flow, debt and debt collection. Including the maintenance of the business cash flow forecast.
Supervising and managing financial department staff (12), including setting objectives and monitoring progress. Identify resource gaps and provide solutions to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls, and continuously challenging and improving the processes to suit business objectives (quality excellence, efficiency, relevance, etc).
Build relationships with stakeholders & business partners across the wider company, using highquality, relevant information & service delivery for the business to achieve objectives.
Oversee the audit process & liaising with external personnel where required. Ensure the delivery and accuracy of annual audit schedules, including balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial/accounting regulations (external and internal).
Helping the CFO in presenting reports to board members and other senior executives.
