    Description

    As a Chemical Scientist, you will be primarily laboratory-based, working with our highly skilled team to ensure the chemical development utilising NMR, GPC, FTIR, XRD, DSC, etc. and delivered within scheduled timeframes. The team work on a broad range of molecule types including monomers development, polymer synthesis and depolymerization, and polymer/organic catalysis. You will be involved with the development and validation of the chemical innovations and will also prepare chemical samples upon our customer requirements.

    Job Requirements:

    • A good scientific degree (Chemistry or similar).
    • A good background in methodology development in deliveringpolymer emulsion is desirable.
    • Previous experience with green catalysis is a significant advantage.
    • Experience with NMR, GPC, FTIR, XRD, DSC, etc.
    • The candidate will be encouraged to work independently and participate in collaborations. Furthermore, the applicants are able to present scientific excellence and be highly motivated, ambitious, and hard-working.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Time spent developing project proposals following Algreen's briefs
    • Evidence of planning and organizing multiple projects to tight timescales and delivering to measurable KPIs within the budget
    • Able to deliver scientific work in a creative way.
    • Able to work with Algreen team efficiently
    • Able to have succinct regular reports to the line manager
    • Able to work independently and develop spontaneous thinking

    • Mature, calm and confident in all internal and external communication and confident in client/partner communication both in-person and via virtual.
    • Pragmatic and have a logical approach to work with very high attention to detail.
    • Quality of output should be front of mind and they should really care about delivering this for the client.
    • To be driven to deliver projects on budget and on time.
