A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am an 87 year old lady living in the Brynna area. In my younger days I trained as a nurse, I then went on to have four children and became a full time house wife and mother, as my children became more independent I worked in the local school as a dinner lady.

I have had a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, my husband supports and assists me full time to help me to remain as independent as possible. We are looking for a personal assistant to support with my morning routine, I may need prompting with tasks to help remind me to get up and meet my personal care needs.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To assist with the morning routine, this will include personal care, washing and dressing in readiness to start the day.

PLACE OF WORK

In the home.

HOURS OF WORK

4 hours a week (7 mornings a week 30 minutes a day)

RATE OF PAY

£13.00 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

Personal Care – washing, dressing etc.

Prompting with tasks.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

A person who respects the privacy and confidentiality of working in someone else's home.

A reliable and punctual person.

Someone who is calm, patient and friendly.

Someone who is sensitive but practical to my needs ensuring my dignity is upheld.
