JOB DESCRIPTION




JOB TITLE:
Finance Officer


ACCOUNTABLE TO:
Business Operations Manager


HOURS:
Full time, Monday-Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm


STARTING SALARY:
£30,000 to start


LOCATION:
Office based - Redditch, B98


JOB SUMMARY:


  • To operate an efficient finance system ensuring the timely issuing of invoices, payments and receipts.
  • Liaise with creditors and debtors.
  • Support the admin team.
  • To promote a positive image of the company through the provision of excellent customer service to patients, relatives/carers, Trust department managers and external stakeholders, demonstrating a commitment to putting patients first
  • To ensure high standards of data entry and quality are achieved and sustained across our services, in both paper and electronic recordkeeping
  • To ensure adherence to the company policies at all times

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Producing a monthly cashflow
  • Reconciling current bank account daily
  • Producing fortnightly BACS run paying Sub Contractors and adhoc suppliers
  • Producing monthly supplier run using Xero
  • Producing monthly Sales invoices using Xero
  • Producing financial reports and analysis for the Board
  • Monthly CIS returns & PAYE payments
  • Requesting and creating Purchase Orders


  • Credit Control

  • Timely chasing payments and overdue payments
  • Answering enquiries
  • Ordering plant and materials to site as required
  • Stock control ordering, reconciliation, liaison with clinicians, team and suppliers
  • Ad hoc duties as required
  • Support administrative team
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Good negotiation and persuasion skills in order to maintain a good relationship with clients.
  • Must be proactive and able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain focused on key tasks.
  • Must be able to organise own workload and have excellent timemanagement skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar position essential.
  • Previous experience of Xero preferred.
  • Confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Accountancy or finance qualifications desirable.

  • To comply at all times with the company Data Security Policy. Also to respect confidentiality of information about staff, patients and health service business and in particular the confidentiality of electronically stored personal data in line with the Data Protection Act.
  • Disclosure Barring (DBS) (formerly CRB) checks are now mandatory. Criminal records will be taken into account for recruitment purposes only when the conviction is relevant. Having an unspent conviction will not necessarily bar you from employment. This will depend on the circumstances and background to the offence and the position you have applied for. Failure to disclose any "unspent" convictions may result in the offer of employment being withdrawn or if appointed could lead to dismissal.
